The Allen's 2012 Triathlon Schedule

Sitting down with Rich every year to put together out schedules for the next race season always prove to be very interesting. This year has been rather easy though as we both are doing many of the same. Rich is really bad to tweak this schedule at last minute, so obviously some races may be added later. Everything for him being pro is about points and ranking, but I have to say he's pretty smart about picking his races. He only picks those where the competition for him his tough. He won't sign up for what he calls "Mickey Mouse" which are low turnout races where the competition isn't tough. Rich has taught me that if you want to know how good you are, you have to put yourself up against the best. Tiny local triathlons are fun, but the turnout is so very low. The bigger the race--the more fun!  Big races=big turnout. Big turnout=big competition. That's why you see so many Rev3 races on our schedule for next season.I am so soo sooooo happy to be racing on the Rev3 Triathlon Team for 2012 and as you can see, I'll be racing LOADS of Rev3 races. Rich will also be racing these many of these races. The attraction of Rev3 on the pro side of things is the prize payout and also the prize bonus for racing and he's hooked on Rev3 too. They really are great and if you love a good race, then you should do a Rev3 race in 2012. You'll love it and I promise, after you do'll be hooked!

So far our 2012 looks a little something like this.....
  • January 14- Charleston Marathon (T)
  • March 3- Abu Dhabi
  • April 1- Ironman 70.3 Texas (Rich)
  • May 6-13 -Our RnR Greece Camp & Sivota International Triathlon, Sivota Greece
  • June 3- Rev3 Quassy 70.3
  • June 17- Ironman UK 70.3 (Rich)
  • July 8- Rev3 Portland 70.3
  • August 12- Rev3 Wisconsin 70.3
  • August 26- Rev3 Maine 70.3 (Rich)
  • September 8- Ironman 70.3 World Champs (Rich)
  • September 9- Rev3 Cedar Point 140.6 (T)
  • October 14- Rev3 South Carolina 70.3
  • October 28- Rev3 Sarasota 70.3
As you can see, we'll be a little busy next year and we wouldn't have it any other way :)
