HOME SWEET HOME...BATH!

Home in Bath

"I shall always be talking of Bath, when I am home again. I do like it so very much-Oh, who could ever get tired of Bath" Jane Austen.

The above quote pretty much sums it up for me, and Bath certainly was an inspiration to Jane Austen while she lived and wrote in Bath. We are back in our England home through June and I couldn't be happier. I do miss Bath when we are away. It is such a beautiful city full of rich history. If you ever come to England...you must make your way to Bath. I have seen some very beautiful places and Bath always takes my breath away each and every time we are here. So good to be back. The weather here has been absolutely beautiful...full of blue skies and warm! YAY!

We are racing 3 races while in England and I am very excited. First race on tap is Blenheim Triathlon tomorrow. This is a fun race and I am looking forward to it. We will be on the Gatorade stand for the day, as Gatorade is one of Rich's major sponsors. http://www.gatorade.co.uk/. If any of you are racing Blenheim, come by and say hi :) My race is tomorrow and Rich races on Sunday. Blenheim Palace is located in Woodstock, Oxfordshire and is the birthplace of Winston Churchill and the 11th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough. It sits on 2100 acres and it's very beautiful. Here are a few pics from Blenheim. I loved being there last year and can't wait to get there tomorrow.

After Blenheim we have Windsor Triathlon in London. This one is a great race and Rich has won this race before. This race actually is situated in the heart of London. No other event in the world can compare with the historical backdrop of Windsor Castle, Eton College and the majestic River Thames. The river swim is followed by a bike course that takes in a number of villages around beautiful Berkshire and returns through Windsor Great Park. The multi-lap run course winds around the Great Castle, Windsor Castle (the second home of the Royal Family) over Eton Bridge and along Eton High Street, passing famous Eton College. The event takes in 900 years of British history! Can't wait for this one!

Lastly Ironman UK 70.3 which is in Somerset at Wimbleball. Rich has won this race before as well and hopes to have great results again from this years race.Yesterday we made our way to Essex to the race site at Wimbleball. Rich did some training sessions with clients there, and I had a great run around beautiful Wimbleball Lake. After we made our way into Cheddar England where Cheddar Cheese originated. We had a nice pub dinner and then made our way through the amazing Cheddar Gorge. Beautiful! There were Soay Sheep everywhere. Very pretty!
So that's it for now. Here are a few more pics of Bath...

Cheers.
