Well, fake snow anyway..for now. Awoke at 3 am to the sound of what I thought was a winter hurricane. Oh no...was a it a hurricane? Tornado? No...it was the roaring sound of the snow machines at the ski slopes finally. This is my first year living here right next to the ski slopes and I knew the snows would start soon enough. We are very excited and cannot wait for lots of winter fun right outside our door. It's nice out and tomorrow we are expected to get our first 'REAL' snowfall right from the sky. I do have to work on the skiing though. Rich seems to be an expert at this having skied all of his life in France. Me not so much. I love to snowboard, snow tube and ice skate, but still feel a little clumsy at downhill skiing. I am sure I will get the hang of it soon enough living here.
On the off season training front, things are going well. We both caught a massive chest cold on our return from England which put us out for nearly two weeks. Finally back to it though. Slowly but surely. Training with Rich is tough, but I love it!
Snuck my small camera on a running day. I was behind R here, which as you can see he is a blur hehe! Well, a blur... as usually he is out of sight quickly and all I can see is a blur in the distance ;)
I am thankful for the training though, as I know I am a hard person to coach, and especially when it comes from your significant other...ow! He has tons of patience though, which is a great thing. I know that this is exactly what I need to have a happy 2010 season, and especially good since it will be my first Ironman season. I cannot wait. We are planning most races together next season, with a New Orleans kick off for the start. Yay!
Christmas is around the corner and the hustle and bustle has begun. Finally managed some shopping and have much more to day. Well, at least there is still a month before the big day.
Happy Day All~
