:( WATCH FOR ANIMALS IN THE ROAD!!!!!!

Well, the weekend was partially a good one. On Friday I got in a few miles on the bike before dark and then made my way to the pool. I had a pretty good workout on limited time. Not much else to report for Friday.

On Saturday, I met up with some friends for a little reunion. Some of us hadn't seen each other in a while, so it was nice to meet up with the girls and have some fun. It was nice seeing them, we had a great time. After the fun, my friend TJ and I decided to call it a night and head home. We were driving down a 4 lane highway, time was around 12:45. All of the sudden a huge black cow stepped out in front of my car. Right away I yanked the steering wheel to the left to avoid hitting the animal. Unfortunately, I still did. I hit the cow and it damaged the whole passenger side of my vehicle. It felt like I had hit a brick wall. I ran over into the guard rail and my car came to a stop. I was a second away from hitting the cow head on. It was awful. My friend jumped out of the car right away, calling the police and started running down toward the cow. I was crying and in shock and ran down as well. Within a minute or so, I think the cow stood back up and a man in a very small car came up and hit the cow head on. It sounded like a bomb had gone off. His car was demolished as the cow hit the hood and crashed through his windshield. I can't talk about what happened as he crawled out of the car, because it is just to horrible to think about. I have tried to block it out. He was injured badly. My SUV sustained quite a bit of damage. On impact I was apparently hit under my eye, as I now have a nice blue cheekbone. Other than that, no injuries. Other than being a nervous wreck. I just hope and pray that the guy that hit it after me will be ok. I have not heard anything and do not know his name. It was a horrible experience. A couple of pics TJ took while I was doing the accident report.

Yesterday, I need some running therapy to take my mind off of the accident . I got in 12 miles and it felt really good. Half marathon is less than 4 weeks away. Looking forward to that!

Happy Monday All~

In August I hit a deer at 40mph on my bicycle! It felt like a brick wall. Beware!
